Shōjō-ji (Temple of the Tanuki Bayashi)

Shōjō-ji

A temple of the Jōdo Shinshū Hongan-ji school. It is the temple that inspired the children's song "Shōjō-ji no Tanuki-bayashi," and a tanuki mound was built here to honor the spirit of a great tanuki (raccoon dog).

Nakanoshima Bridge

Japan's tallest pedestrian bridge, standing 27 m high and 236 m long. Designated a "Sanctuary for Lovers," it is famed as the "Red Bridge of Wishes," where legend says love is fulfilled.
