| Accommodation contracts and related agreements that the Hotel enters into with guests shall be governed by these Terms. Matters not stipulated in these Terms shall be governed by applicable laws and regulations or by generally established custom. | |
| 2. | When the Hotel has agreed to a special arrangement that does not violate applicable laws or custom, that special arrangement shall take precedence over the provisions of the preceding paragraph. |
| A guest who wishes to apply for an accommodation contract with the Hotel shall provide the following information: (1) Guest's name (2) Date of stay and expected time of arrival (3) Accommodation rate (in principle, the basic accommodation rate listed in Schedule 1) (4) Any other information the Hotel deems necessary |
|
| 2. | If, during the stay, the guest requests an extension beyond the date of stay set out in item (2) of the preceding paragraph, the Hotel shall treat the request as a new application for an accommodation contract made at the time of the request. |
| The accommodation contract shall be deemed concluded when the Hotel accepts the application referred to in the preceding article. This shall not apply, however, when the Hotel demonstrates that it did not accept the application. |
|
| 2. | When an accommodation contract has been concluded pursuant to the preceding paragraph, the guest shall pay a deposit set by the Hotel, up to the amount of the basic accommodation rate for the period of stay (or for 3 days if the stay exceeds 3 days), by a date designated by the Hotel. |
| 3. | The deposit shall first be applied to the accommodation charges ultimately payable by the guest; if circumstances arise under which the provisions of Article 6 and Article 18 apply, it shall be applied first to cancellation fees and then to damages, in that order, with any remainder refunded at the time of payment of charges under the provisions of Article 12. |
| 4. | If the deposit referred to in paragraph 2 is not paid by the date designated by the Hotel pursuant to that paragraph, the accommodation contract shall cease to be effective. This shall apply only when the Hotel, in designating the deposit payment due date, has so notified the guest. |
| Notwithstanding the provisions of paragraph 2 of the preceding article, the Hotel may agree to a special arrangement under which payment of the deposit referred to in that paragraph is not required after the contract is concluded. | |
| 2. | If, in accepting the application for an accommodation contract, the Hotel did not request payment of the deposit referred to in paragraph 2 of the preceding article and did not designate a due date for such payment, the Hotel shall be treated as having agreed to the special arrangement set out in the preceding paragraph. |
| The Hotel may decline to conclude an accommodation contract in the following cases: (1) When the application for accommodation does not conform to these Terms. (2) When all rooms (or all spaces) are fully booked. (3) When the prospective guest is deemed likely to engage, in connection with the stay, in conduct that violates applicable laws, public order, or accepted standards of morality. (4) When the prospective guest is clearly identified as having an infectious disease. (5) When the prospective guest demands an unreasonable burden in connection with the stay. (6) When accommodation cannot be provided due to natural disaster, facility malfunction, or other unavoidable causes. (7) When the prospective guest is intoxicated or otherwise considered likely to significantly disturb other guests, or when the guest has engaged in speech or conduct that significantly disturbs other guests. (8) When payment of the accommodation charges has been requested and has not been received by the specified deadline. |
| The guest may cancel the accommodation contract by notifying the Hotel. | |
| 2. | When the guest has cancelled all or part of the accommodation contract due to reasons attributable to the guest (excluding cases in which, pursuant to Article 3 paragraph 2, the Hotel has designated a deposit payment due date and requested payment, and the guest cancels the accommodation contract before making that payment), the Hotel shall charge a cancellation fee in accordance with Schedule 2. This shall apply, however, only where the Hotel has agreed to the special arrangement under Article 4 paragraph 1 and, in doing so, has notified the guest of the obligation to pay a cancellation fee should the guest cancel the accommodation contract. |
| 3. | If the guest does not arrive by 8:00 PM on the day of the stay without prior notice (or, if an expected arrival time has been specified in advance, two hours after that time), the Hotel may treat the accommodation contract as having been cancelled by the guest. |
| The Hotel may cancel the accommodation contract in the following cases: (1) When the guest is deemed likely to engage, in connection with the stay, in conduct that violates applicable laws, public order, or accepted standards of morality, or when the guest is deemed to have engaged in such conduct. (2) When the guest is clearly identified as having an infectious disease. (3) When the guest demands an unreasonable burden in connection with the stay. (4) When accommodation cannot be provided due to natural disaster or other force majeure causes. (5) When the guest is intoxicated or otherwise considered likely to significantly disturb other guests, or when the guest has engaged in speech or conduct that significantly disturbs other guests. (6) When the guest smokes in bed, tampers with fire-prevention equipment, or otherwise fails to comply with the prohibitions set out in the Hotel's House Rules (limited to those necessary for fire prevention). (7) When the Hotel cancels the accommodation contract pursuant to the preceding provisions, the guest shall not be charged for any accommodation services not yet provided. |
| On the day of the stay, the guest shall register the following information at the Hotel's Front Desk: (1) The guest's name, age, gender, address, and occupation (2) For non-Japanese guests: nationality, passport number, place of entry, and date of entry into Japan. | 2. | If the guest intends to pay the charges under Article 12 by traveler's check, accommodation voucher, credit card, or other method that may serve in place of currency, the guest shall present such means at the time of registration referred to in the preceding paragraph. |
| The time by which the guest must vacate the room (check-out time) shall be 10:00 AM. | |||||
| 2. | Notwithstanding the provisions of the preceding paragraph, the Hotel may allow use of the room beyond check-out time. In such cases, the following additional charges shall apply. For use beyond 3:00 PM, however, the full room rate shall be charged. 2015/09/03 16:14

(2) When the guest fails to comply with the House Rules referred to in the preceding article. (3) When the accommodation charges for the continuing stay are not paid. |
| The breakdown of the accommodation charges and the method of calculation payable by the guest shall be as set out in Schedule 1. | |
| 2. | Payment of the accommodation charges referred to in the preceding paragraph shall be made at the Front Desk, in currency or by traveler's check, accommodation voucher, credit card, or other method accepted by the Hotel in place of currency, at the time of the guest's departure or when requested by the Hotel. |
| 3. | The Hotel shall charge the accommodation rate even when the guest, after the room has been made available for use, voluntarily chooses not to stay. |
| The Hotel shall compensate the guest for any damage caused in the course of performing, or failing to perform, the accommodation contract and related agreements. This shall not apply, however, when the damage is not attributable to causes for which the Hotel is responsible. |
|
| 2. | The Hotel has received special-case certification from the fire authorities and is also enrolled in ryokan (traditional Japanese inn) liability insurance to address any unforeseen fire or similar incident. |
| When the Hotel is unable to provide the contracted room to the guest, it shall, with the guest's consent, arrange other accommodation on terms as close as possible to the original. | |
| 2. | Notwithstanding the preceding paragraph, when the Hotel is unable to arrange other accommodation, it shall pay the guest a compensatory amount equivalent to the cancellation fee, which shall be applied toward damages. However, no compensatory amount shall be paid when the inability to provide the room is not attributable to causes for which the Hotel is responsible. |
| When goods, cash, or valuables deposited with the Front Desk Cashier by the guest are lost, damaged, or otherwise impaired, the Hotel shall compensate the guest for the loss, except where caused by force majeure. | |
| 2. | When goods, cash, or valuables that the guest has brought onto Hotel premises but has not deposited with the Front Desk Cashier are lost, damaged, or otherwise impaired through the Hotel's willful misconduct or negligence, the Hotel shall compensate the guest for the loss. However, for items whose type and value were not declared in advance by the guest, the Hotel's liability is limited to ¥300,000, except in cases of willful misconduct or gross negligence on the part of the Hotel. |
| If the guest's luggage arrives at the Hotel prior to the stay, the Hotel shall hold it with due care only when it has agreed to do so before arrival, and shall hand it over to the guest at check-in at the Front Desk. | |
| 2. | If the guest's luggage or personal effects are left behind at the Hotel after check-out or after cancellation of the contract, and the owner is identified, the Hotel shall contact the owner and request instructions. If no instructions are given by the owner, or if the owner cannot be identified, the Hotel shall keep the items in a designated location for 7 days, including the date of discovery, after which they shall be turned over to the nearest police station. |
| 3. | The Hotel's liability for the storage of the guest's luggage or personal effects under the preceding two paragraphs shall be governed, in the case of paragraph 1, by the provisions of paragraph 1 of the preceding article, and, in the case of paragraph 2, by the provisions of paragraph 2 of the same article. |
| When the guest uses the Hotel's parking lot, the Hotel provides only the parking space, regardless of whether the vehicle keys are entrusted; it does not assume responsibility for the management of the vehicle. However, in the management of the parking lot, the Hotel shall be liable for damage caused by its willful misconduct or negligence. |
